MBCTS Workshop on Mitral Valve Diseases and Hands on Mitral Valve Surgery - 10.2.18

The Workshop on Mitral Valve Diseases and Hands-on Mitral Valve Replacement Surgery Workshop was held on 10 Feb 2018 at the Aesculap Academy in Petaling Jaya. It was organised by the Malaysian Board of Cardiothoracic Surgery (MBCTS) and the Aesculap Academy. Targeted at Trainees in Cardiothoracic Surgery, the workshop covered the topics in the MBCTS Curriculum for Mitral Valve Diseases and its management, as well as surgical techniques. It included an interactive knowledge test. In the afternoon, participants were able to implant an aortic valve into an animal heart guided by the Faculty.
